As you move on, remember me

I wish I had something thrilling to blog about.

I got in trouble at a IEP meeting yesterday for passing notes to my intern.

I am super apathetic about my job.

I just watched Black Swan and I found it to be pretentious and over done.

I am so excited to sleep in tomorrow.

My iPhone addiction has only gotten worse with time. If you don't have one, you need to get one ASAP!

I couldn't think of one decent April Fool's joke today. I am not a good enough actor to pull anything off.

It feels like a good time to reread all my Harry Potter books!

I had a dream that Danielle (my sister) had another baby!! Maybe this is an omen.

Some friends of mine from college (well, she is technically my sisters college roommate), just adopted a baby after 14 years of marriage. I could not be happier for them! they are going to be the BEST PARENTS EVER!

I found out today that all the weirdos hang out in the dollar store in the middle of the day. Good to know.

I can't wait to go home. I wish it were today, because I am weary of all of this.

I think I might go to  the movies and hobby lobby tomorrow. Have a fun, crazy day.

What do you think??

Feminism

Today, I heard the best definition of feminism ever.

"We work the pole because we choose to. Not because our life circumstances require it"

Ok, so maybe that isn't really a definition of feminism.

It made me laugh though.

(because I have the sense of humor and emotional maturity of a 13 year old)

I took a long hard look, at the words in that book..

the light in my office this morning. Pretty, eh?

Where do I begin, people? Where do I begin?

The things..THE THINGS .. that have been going on here are insane..well..that's probably a bit dramatic..let's see...the things that have been going on here are slightly annoying and fairly mundane!

Let's do this thing!

1. I had a run in with a cashier named Shamica. I remember her name because I stared at her name tag for 15 minutes during our encounter. I also know that Shamica is tired of her job and; if her manager thinks she is joking, he has another thing coming, because she will quit. He shouldn't even test her. And no, she is not going to work this weekend, she doesn't care what the schedule says. In the battle of Shamica and I, I totally backed down and took my anti freeze and life savers and walked away.
Score Card: Lori 0 Shamica 1

2. We all know and love that I paid Weasley (my car) off last month. So, you know the devil car wants to start acting up this month. It's not truly content unless I'm pouring money into it some way. But with my dad's advice, some anti-freeze, and 35 dollars to a..questionable.. mechanic, I think I might have won this one! Oh Snap!
Score Card: Lori 1 Weasley 0

3. I am slowly progressing in my six part plan to become a hipster. I am now the proud owner of a number of indie, lesser known songs. Ever heard of "Therapy" by Declan Bennett? How about "More than This?" by Shane Mack?  Or "Don't Sweat the Technique" by Eric B and Rakim? I didn't think so. *Pausing to smugly admire my amazing non mainstreamness* I am totally 15% on my way to hipster status!
Score Card: My playlist 1 Your playlist 0

4. I could keep going, but I usually stop reading people's list long before item number 4. If you've made it this far, bravo!

300

You guys, this is my 300th post.

It's probably best that I go ahead and say something super profound. Here we go...

I am celebrating this momentous occasion of my 300th post by staying in my pajamas all day, watching Jane Eyre, Harry Potter, and eating chocolate and pizza.

I miss home.

I wish I were with my muffin babies today.

Lunch has been cancelled due to a lack of hustle!

I am bringing you this post from my IPhone.

Also known as my best friend.

I have some great stories from this week.

I got called out in CBT training today by a bitter 60 year old man. Boo-yah! Another life goal accomplished!

My intern (# 3 that is) told me more crazy stories about drunkenness, strip clubs, and her cat.

I gave up the net. (at home, anyway) (if you don't count my phone)

I went to see some of my clients last week and when they saw me they said "This is going to be the BEST DAY EVER!" I encourage you all to greet your therapist in a similar  manner.

I saw the Lincoln Lawyer. And fell. in. love. WITH RYAN PHILLIPE. It should be a crime to be that hot.

Random Thoughts Thursday: the Sneaky Peak Irish Edition

Why does it always take me until March 17th to realize that I own not even one item of green clothing!

I feared pinching all day but people here in the South have never heard of pinching someone who isn't wearing green. So strange.

I had my Internet disconnected. (on purpose, people!) I will actually be returning the modem to my cable company tomorrow. I haven't had cable in close to three years, but I have just replaced one addiction (TV) for another (Internet).

I now hope to become addicted to reading classic literature and keeping my apartment super clean.

My sisters are the perfect combination of super hilarious and super supportive. Thanks, cat and eagle. <3, the rabbit.

Will the real Slim Shady please stand up? And will the pretentious white girl listening to ten year old rap songs at full blast driving through the country side stand up next?

I wanted to post about my Irish ancestry today. I don't know too much. My mom and sister know more. I do know that my mom's grand mom on her mom's side was born in America (I think) but her parents were full on Irish. So they would be my great great grandparents.

All of my cousins..literally ALL of them, are red heads. My dad's combination of French/Native American DNA saved us from the ginger curse!

My job is crazy, yo. I'd like to retire now. Which means I'm going to have to fall back on my original plan of marrying wealthy.

Avoid the clap!

Excuse me.

I don't know what you did with your day today, but guess what I did?

I had a Justin Beiber dance a thon.

With 7 Hispanic boys under the age of 10.

Talk about a raging case of Beiber Fever.

I had no idea it had hit the Hispanic community so hard.

Anyway, I have got to go.

My first love broke my heart for the first time.

And I was like, baby, baby, baby no.
